D’Ambrosio to test for Campos at Paul Ricard

Two weeks after concluding his maiden season in GP2, Jerome D’Ambrosio will be present tomorrow at the Paul Ricard track, where the first of three official off-season GP2 test days is scheduled to take place. In Southern France, the Belgian driver will be testing for 2008 GP2 Series winners Barwah Campos International, the team run by former F1 driver Adrian Campos.
“I had the pleasure to test with Adrian’s GP2 team last year as a prize for winning the Formula Master series, said the Gravity driver. Things had gone well then and Adrian kept an eye on my progression this season. So when the opportunity came about to have a go during this week’s Ricard trial, I of course accepted immediately.”
While D’Ambrosio’s remains in discussion with DAMS, his 2008 team, for next year, several other outfits have expressed their interest in securing the young Belgian’s services, which may lead to a test with another team at Jerez, on October 29th and 30th.
