D'Ambrosio quick in Paul Ricard GP2 test

Jerome D'Ambrosio put in an impressive performance on the second and final day of the collective GP2 test organized at the Paul Ricard circuit this week. The Belgian, who was driving for series winners Barwa Campos International, ended the morning session 8th before moving towards the top of the timesheets in the afternoon run which he finished in 2nd place. “Overall it was a good test, commented the Gravity charger, and I believe the team was satisfied with my performance and the work we accomplished. In the morning session I got acquainted with my engineer and we started by changing Petrov’s settings we didn’t really suit my driving style. The car’s set-up was better in the afternoon and that allowed me to set the fastest time just before the rain came pouring down. Kobayashi was the only one that put new tyres on his which enabled him to go a little faster by 3/10ths of a second, while normally fresh rubber is worth at least half a second a lap. The outcome was positive and I may get another run with Adrian Campo’s team at Jerez in a month.”
